Why I Pray for Divine Love

“Woe is me,” was my earlier tune and it cost me dearly to entertain such deprecating thoughts. Seeking God's Love for salvation from this negative condition due to such bilious thinking has been the prime impetus of my prayers and longings.

It seems like a long and winding road ahead that leads to the heart of God. And then I remember reading one of the messages that James Padgett received that said most folks take several centuries to develop their souls into the perfection of their original creation; that is, the perfection of their natural love; and soul development in the Divine Love is much faster than natural love development.

When I read such words, I take comfort that we are among a few people on earth whom have been blessed with the Master's teachings of the redemption of the mortal soul through the affects of the Father's Divine Love upon our soul. It is not a hidden or esoteric knowledge, however, is hidden in the sense that, without any possession of this Love, the human mind cannot comprehend its existence nor can fathom the principal of the "New Birth." Once a person reaches out and asks for God's Divine Love to become implanted in their soul, whereas, it becomes a soul possession, the blinders are removed from our eyes and the soul's perceptions have now been activated through this Divine substance, which enables us to perceive....

When I learned the truth about who and what God is and that in order to live with Him in Heaven, I must pray for His Divine Love, then I began praying every night. It wasn’t too long before I felt a jolt come into the area of my heart and, frankly, it startled me.

“What is this?” I asked myself. “Is it God’s Divine Love?”

Indeed, it was and for many years thereafter, His wonderful love warms my heart and soul each and every time I receive it. But I was not so very close to Him in the sense that I considered Him to be my Father. I just knew He was far off in His Heavens and He was with me whenever I prayed to Him for whatever I thought I needed at the time.

A few years ago, though, when I was going through this bout of sadness that wouldn’t leave me, I decided that when I prayed to God, I would send to Him all the love that was in my heart and soul. One day, I decided to go for a ride on my bicycle. It was a lovely sunny day; the birds were singing beautifully; there was nothing that called for my immediate attention, so, “Why not?” I thought.

I loved to cycle up and down the steep winding slopes of the rugged Norwegian landscape. I decided to take the same route as I usually did, and so I set off totally unaware of the strange event that would happen to me, so strange, that to this day I have no real explanation as to what really happened, or why! Here we go.

Well, everything went as normal. The tour lasted for about an hour, and I was about two minutes away from my house, then to the left of me, my eye caught the attention of some tall trees I had never seen before. They were all standing in a row, on both sides of a small dirt road. I recognised the road, but not the trees.

Just as I was puzzling about where did these trees come from, all on its own, my bike did a really smooth left swing into this road. I remembered it was as if something took over the bike and....

In 1971, I was initiated into Transcendental Meditation and began to meditate regularly. I began to have experiences of a transcendent nature. Some of the experiences I recognized from childhood, like leaving my physical body and floating in the spiritual realms. Just when I was beginning to think I had found what I was looking for, I had an experience that changed my path. It happened when I was in a deep meditative state. My mind was clear, except for the mantra I was repeating. It was impressed upon me that what I was looking for was what Jesus of Nazareth knows, taught 2000 years ago on earth and still teaches. I was told that it could not be found in the mainstream churches. I had the feeling that this was an answer to my prayers.

Only a month or two later, I was introduced to the book, True Gospel Revealed Anew by Jesus. I could not put it down and the more I read, the more I wanted. It was answering all my questions about where we came from, where we are going, who God is and Jesus and much more. I was elated because it made so much sense. My soul was saying eureka!

It has been a great blessing to know that this Divine Love is always available to fill our hearts. It sustains me in all my travels and keeps me….

In my forties, I started taking my spiritual life more seriously and began seeking God. I went from church to church, always with my “check list.” It seemed they would have a few good points, but something was always missing. It was around 1997, that I started writing poetry. It was a rough time in my life. I remember starting out writing my poem, “Someone to Hold You,” when suddenly I heard a voice and I began to write down the words I was hearing. It was coming so fast I yelled, “Slow down, I can’t write that fast!” I realized there was no one there and asked myself, who are you talking to? Well, this is how it all started.

I remember, I was feeling very lonely and wanted someone to love “me.” I was in my office and praying. Suddenly, I was “taken away” again, and I saw the very same man I did as a child, along with two others I did not know. Well, I now instantly perceived who this man was, it was Jesus. He called me to him and started talking to me about love. He told me that there was another love I knew not of. He told me how we humans think that our love is the greatest love we can feel. As an example, a young girl might think she loves her guy “so much” and she could never live without him, or we “love” our children so much.

One winter day, I was traveling alone, through the park, on my way home from parochial school. I decided to take a detour to the ice skating ring. Oh, I may have forgotten to mention, I was also a tomboy. No, I didn’t have ice skates and my older brother had warned me that if I fell on the ice, I would knock all my teeth out. That didn’t stop me from using my school satchel as a toboggan by running and sliding on my stomach, across the ice. By the time, I got cold enough to stop; it had started snowing, again. As I was approaching the cresting of pilled snow, on the edge of the ring, I saw my Aunt Corrine. She was dressed in a flowing light blue dress and medium blue mantle on her shoulder that went down and covered up her feet. Her hair was in a long page boy style. She looked tall, radiant and calm. I didn’t stop to consider why she didn’t have a coat on because it was cold. I just felt an overwhelming sense of peace. I wasn’t cold anymore.

She looked at me and told me she had a message for me to give to my mother. She said she was fine and for my mom not to worry. Everything would be okay. Then she was....

Had not my own soul yearned for a more personal confirmation of God’s Love, the chances are that I would have passed through my mortal life ongoingly plagued with doubts and a lack of fulfillment. Rationally, I knew that no material answer to prayer and no external miracle, so-called, would ever serve to absolutely confirm the Reality of God’s Love within myself. Ah, but there was the not as yet discovered key: “within”! God’s Love could not be absolutely confirmed from without. Might it instead be confirmed from within?

For quite some time my soul gave me no peace. As a child of God, I could not conceive that absolutely no communication with God was possible. If I could pray directly to God, certainly God, so much greater than I, could respond directly to me if He chose to do so. “Could,” yes, but would He? And, if so, what was I to do to encourage His response, not even knowing how to proceed? Would I even recognize His response, should it come?

There was no way that I could preconceive what a direct response from God would be like. All I can tell you is that I wanted God. With all the longing of my soul, that had been slowly but surely....

I didn’t know how much it really affected me until I had a powerful conscious-dream about those emotions. I say conscious-dream, because it is hard to exactly describe an experience that you have when you are not moving in your body but yet you are fully conscious of your senses.

As I was awakening from sleep, my soul felt this deep distress and hurtfulness come to the surface, which immediately led me to cry out to my Heavenly Father. I literally heard my soul’s voice cry out “Father!” and there He was. I felt His Presence in a second and with it a soul vision of Him, where He had these shoulders that I could cry upon. I never knew how close God was to me - a heartbeat away. I was quite surprised; it felt as if my soul knew where He was all along but just never reached out enough to touch Him.

As He came to me I could feel Him speaking to my soul, “I am your Father, and I’m here to comfort you - here is my Love, receive it now.” At that moment, I could feel His Love flooding into my soul and His Love permeating and warming my heart region. As I fully awakened in my body, I could still feel the warmth of His Love radiating in my heart....

I have had many unbelievable happy, spiritual experiences, and then the bubble burst - the time came that I had to face my maker and stand before God in all my weakness. It took me a long time to realize what was happening. I was living the experience of people that had already passed over. According to the messages, when we pass over we are greeted by our family and friends and have a happy reunion, then we are taken to the abode that is befitting our soul’s condition. I had no inkling that it was going to happen to me while I was still a mortal, but it did.

When my soul was taken to that place of my spiritual condition, I thought I had died and gone to hell. I was conscious and thinking to myself, “Well, I guess I am dead now, and my family has found my body and probably having my funeral.”

I awoke three days later in the hospital and the doctor told me that the police had found me sitting on the curb of the sidewalk crying. I never had any recollection of what had happened. All I know is that I was in another state of consciousness….

Looking back on my life and reflecting on how very fortunate I am, even through all of the storms; I have always had God with me and had faith in Him and His love. My first memory of knowing my belief in God was at four years of age. I was brought up Catholic and have some very fond memories of spending time with the Nuns of our Parish and listening to their wonderful stories about God and His Love for us.

I was praying for the Divine Love for the first time last night and soon I realized it was just what I needed.

The New Age Movement told me, since I was a Christian then, that I wasn’t capable of love just because I was a Christian. That had hurt me more than a knife piercing through my skin. How I trusted in My Heart to Bring Me Home to God

So I continued on through my life having this deep spiritual side to me. I was asked to join the Bahai faith movement and to sign up on the dotted line by my weed-supply contact friend. I was asked to join the Hari Krishna movement by ex-acid head band members at a nightclub I used to attend. And I have looked into the new age movement but was not impressed by their dogmatic thinking or pretty little crystal pyramids. I declined all of those things and kept my sights set on God.

My search continued through reading, which was good. What I uncovered in my search relates to, and often confirms, the information that was received by James E. Padgett from Jesus, other spirits and the Celestial Angels – who worked with him for the good of all souls. My sister and I had a chat one time years ago, and she had explained her thoughts on the Mormons; that is, why she stopped and became a Lutheran. As time went on and I had an uneasy feeling about religion, I started looking for answers that would satisfy my desires. I always felt that there was life after death and I strongly believed in spirits but found the whole fire and brimstone Hell a bit too much. I also never could understand how nailing Jesus to a cross would wash away my sins that I haven't even committed yet. I studied one idea after another trying to find something to settle that inner voice and decided that I would just go with being some type of spiritualist, as that made more sense than anything else.

Several years ago, I became involved with an organization from Australia on a business project they were planning. My contact there sent me a link to a website that is about the Divine Love. I found some copies of the Padgett messages there and briefly looked them over, thinking how wonderful that someone could connect with Jesus and receive….

My Encounter with Divine Love after a Long Journey

Though what I had read was very convincing, one morning, after reading yet more of the messages, I ascended my thoughts to Jesus in a very sincere manner, somewhat like this, as I recall:

“Jesus – if these messages really came from whom they are said – you and others in the Celestial Heavens, then surely you can hear my thoughts and can send me a sign which I will clearly understand. Please confirm that these messages did not come from someone trying to impersonate you, but are, indeed, from you and your followers in the Celestial Heavens. Although, these messages are of high spiritual content and it is hard to believe that such information could have even been conceived by any human mind, still, I would appreciate your confirmation. Please forgive me for questioning you, if you are, indeed, the source of these messages.”

Well, after having this “conversation” with Jesus, I continued with my daily task and had completely dismissed the thought from my mind, as perhaps, I really did not expect to get an answer. Approximately one hour and a half later, my phone rang and I was unable to take the call at the moment. Upon checking the Caller ID later to see who had called, the Caller ID displayed….

All We Need Is Love – Preferably from Above

Developing our love nature is one of the most important spiritual lessons one can learn. It is challenging to progress in natural love. To me, it feels like trying to lift myself up by my own bootstraps. God never forces Divine Love upon anyone, the only way It can be received is to want It to come into your soul; to pray for God’s Gift of Grace; to pray for Divine Mercy; desire to develop the highest potential of your soul; ask to be blessed by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is God’s Special Energy, which has the sole purpose of conveying Divine Love to the penitent, prayerful person’s soul. It’s important to be humble. I like to sit in a comfortable chair with my back straight and eyes closed. I often will play soft contemplative music in the background. This seems to help clear my mind of whatever stray thoughts are kicking around in there. I begin with a simple prayer for my soul to open to the inflowing of God's Love. I ask for the cloak of protection from all spirits and influence that are not Celestial. I will pray for help, healing and protection for myself and my family and loved ones. I may pray for them individually, or as a group. I may ask for guidance on a particular challenge that I may be facing, or I will sit quietly and try to empty my mind of irrelevant thoughts.

I will often experience a sense of profound peace. Our teachers call this "the peace that passes all understanding." I believe this is the presence of God and the feeling that God's hand is upon me is complete. I will often feel an opening or expansion of my solar plexus and be aware that God's Love is flowing into me in this area and an overall feeling of expansion and joy accompanies this event. In the summer of 1977, I was busy publishing my little newspaper, “The New Age Dawn,” and organizing retreats for the new age folks in the area where I then lived, the beautiful province of British Columbia. A personal breakthrough occurred in my life after a very long, excruciating, misguided and troubled journey. I had a stable job; met Thozi, my husband, and life was great. I was happy and had everything I wanted. It is during this euphoria and sense of accomplishment that I had this Dream, or vision, a heavenly intervention. It was January 2002.

My first memories of talking to God were during my evening walks out on the Huntington Beach Pier. These evenings were gentle and peaceful during my nightly strolls out into the ocean. When the moon was visible, I noticed that everywhere I moved the moon's beamwould shine directly on me as I imagined the same with God as He was directly in my path as well. That wherever I turned, God would always be with me, to help me, to love me and comfort me. As I contemplated these things, I cried out to God to love and comfort me as this is where I received the first fruits of His Divine Love. The year is 1968 as I was 18.

Today, it is 43 years later on the Divine Love path, so what pearl of wisdom would I like to leave behind for others? I’ve often wondered, “Why me? In the late 1990’s while I was at work, it suddenly occurred to me that there was a question that I had never asked. I always addressed God and none other, but this thought came to me with such power that I asked it instead.
